Got up with a cat.

This cat.

I got up with a cat in my mind this morning.

I think this happens to many creators though, once you thought "I want to make this NOW!!", you will start to make it even when you are behind of schedule what you have been doing, or even in the middle of what you have been working on.

I now have been working on 6 Korean quilt orders, I should not have time to do something else. But that happening approached to me this morning, and I started to draw a pattern of it before brushing my teeth.

I made it as a large mascot size, but I think this would be much prettier when it is a cushion!

What do you think??

  1. Dear Kyoko, it's been a long time since I wrote you last time. Today I woke up with the same feeling, that I wanted to make something to my girl (yes, it's a girl comming in the end of June!)and even if I slept yesterday at 1am, I left my bed at 7:30am to look for a pattern...
    I love your cat!
    Gros bisous

  2. You don't know me but I read your blog every now and then.

I just wanted to tell you that this kind of feeling happens to me all the time! It is quite hard to finish one thing for me without wanting to begin something new. You can guess how messy my sewing room is!

I love your cat, it looks very whimsical. Maybe you could add a mouth or moustaches???
    My daughters would love it.

    Love from France,
    Sylvie

Glad to hear that your baby is growing well in your body! :) I bet it is very happy time for you to look for something for your girl. Do you start to think her name? Everything would be so exciting :D

  5. Hi Kyoko,
yes, we are very excited, indeed! Her name is going to be Helena, and I told myself that every saturday, or sunday, I'm going to work exclusively to her. I've made some things, that I put in my blog in portuguese...and how are you, with your new cat?
    Love from Dani and Helena

  6. Hi Daniela!
Helena... SO pretty :D You have such a pleasant time for Helena every weekends. It makes me happy when I imagine how you feel. The burp clothes (?) and the bibs are so cute, I especially love to see they have a tag of your shop on it! It makes me feel excited, too!
