Yasuko Saito lives in Tokyo. She started patchwork in 1982, and was hired by Hearts & Hands, a arts and craft school, as a professional teacher in 1989. She has received numerous awards for her art quilts in Japan and from also International Quilt Festival (AIQA) in Houston, Texas, and Quilt National in Dairy Barn, Ohio. She also designs fabrics and offers art quilt classes in Japan.
