It has been a long time again since my last post, I’m saying this every year, but I will try to keep up with my recent life. I hope Blogger app I have just downloaded makes posting easier on this blog.
I mentioned about the Quilt Show in the last post. Other than the quilt "Folklore", I had other quilts for display.
The quilt pattern is from Ricky Tim's convergence quilt. One of my guild members offered a workshop, and I enjoyed it. I previously posted the photos showing the details. "Icy Day" (below) made with the scraps from indigo hand-dyed fabrics. Roughly 60"x80".
This one (below) hasn't shown anywhere yet, another indigo hand-dyed fabric quilt. I did not want to cut the indigo fabric and I could not think of another way of using this piece than this - "Winter Lake", roughly 50"x70".
Probably, many people would think the combination of indigo hand-dyed and lace doilies do not go together. I thought they can represent snowflakes as the theme of this quilt is "winter" and they are working well together to me.
For the two quilts with indigo, I cannot determine if I would like to sell or not. It's nice to keep them but I do not have a use for them. If you are interested in purchasing at a decent price, please contact me. I hope the definition of your decent price and mine are the same or similar.
Japanese Quilt - Blue versus Red
Charity quilts - I made a lot, including easy ones. Here are the ones that I think it's worth showing. I made 5 quilts in this pattern (above). The guild gave me a lot of strips. I made around 10 quilts in this pattern. When I joined the quilt retreat last year, I worked on making squares from the scraps. During the 4 days in the retreat, I was able to make a lot of blocks. The quilt retreat this year will occur soon, in the middle of September. I thought I would do the same this year as well, but I still have the blocks I made last year so probably work on different projects.
I also made a cat quilt with the scrappy blocks. This one was sold on etsy.

So what should I start?
