The movie I watched last night was interesting - "The 100-year-old man who climbed out the window and disappeared" - Long title.
It is apparently made from a novel written by a Swedish novelist, Jonas Jonasson.
(This is the cover of the novel.)
(And, this is the cover of the movie.)
The main characters are two old men and young mafias. A protagonist is a 100-year-old man. As the title says, he really escapes from the window of his room in the nursing home on his 100-years-old B.D.
It is because of his personality as well as his age, he doesn't think "properly". The movie questions about, maybe, most people think too much and make things difficult in the effort of controlling our lives, and what is "proper thinking" and "being decent".
He became fascinated to see explosions and make dynamite in his childhood. While he sticks with the passion, it became his career. He just went where he is needed. It causes good fortune and bad luck but he and people around him somehow work it out. He became old and now lives in a nursing home.
The story begins with him going out of the window. When he heard in his room the sound of small explosions caused by a kid, he steps out of the window as if he remembered how he lived before living in the nursing home. After that, his life goes on in the same way as when he was young.
The movie includes some violent expressions as it is a part of life. Some people may not like it but it was okay for me to see it in a comedy touch.
The movie made me believe that if I keep making quilts and doing what I like passionately, my life will be okay.
